I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Brigham Young University. I worked as an illustrator , designer, and comic book colorist for various companies in Washington and Utah. I also spent 4 years as an Avian Zoo Keeper at Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I was privileged to spend a good deal of time at my grandparents ranch and I developed a deep love for animals. All of my work involves animals in some way - often to represent my experiences in life.
